Publish a guide
Select Publish in the editor. If the browser is not connected yet, ShowHow opens a secure approval page and displays a short matching code. After approval, that browser can publish to your account.
Publishing creates an unlisted hosted guide. Anyone who has the link can open it, but guides are not listed in a public directory.
Embed the interactive player
Select Copy embed to get a responsive iframe snippet. Paste it into a page or CMS that accepts custom HTML. The iframe uses a 16:9 aspect ratio and fills the available width.
If your CMS removes iframe markup, use its embed or custom-code block and allow the ShowHow domain in any content-security policy.
Update or take a guide offline
- Republish after editing to update the existing guide instead of creating a second link.
- Unpublish when the workflow is no longer current. The link stops working immediately and hosted screenshots are deleted; an already cached screenshot can take up to about one minute to disappear everywhere.
- Your local guide remains available in the extension unless you remove it there.
